Another Fabulous Find!

okay, so now you all know that I love buying clothes for Claire.
so it was super fun to see that I got yet another package today!

this time it came from

I can't remember how I came across this shop, but I love the ruffle pants.
and the super, SUPER great thing about this shop is that
the owner customized the pants for me.
Remember how I was telling you about Claire's waist being super tiny?
well she made the length a 2T and the waist 12-18mos.

they fit perfectly!

{ time to bribe the model again }

I matched the pants with a new Matilda Jane Tank Top

this is another MJ dress.
It actually comes with this little 'apron' that buttons on,
but I prefer it without.

and I matched it with MomiBoutique's
yellow ruffle pants.

Claire actually hates this dress and wanted it off.

and the last pair I got were these red & white striped ones.
I'm thinking this could be in the running for a 4th of July outfit
(although it's usually blazing hot here in the summer)

and just when I think she doesn't want to do this anymore ...

... she strikes a pose just to throw me off.

OH - but the best part was when I was taking pictures.
Claire says to me,

"Mom... I don't have a Bloom in my hair...
I always have a Bloom in my hair when I take pictures!"

Oh bless you my child.
BLESS YOU!

but whether she's serious or silly
I always love my baby girl!

*** I was not compensated for the 'review' on MomiBoutique, I just love her stuff! ***

You Know What I Love?

I love when you open your door and there's a package waiting for you.
(granted, I paid for it, but it's still pretty fun)

Claire likes it too... as usually it means it's something for her.
One of the discount websites had Tea Clothing on sale,
so I thought it was a perfect time to stock up.

Unfortunately I was a bit off on guessing what size I should go with.
I know it can be hard to tell in photos, but Claire is super tiny.
She'll be 4 in April, and currently wears a 2T in dresses
... and 12-18 months in pants/skirts ...

I know that the Tea line can run small, so I thought instead of
getting a 2T, I should do a 3T... then I thought I'd save it for next
year, so I went with a 4T. Which obviously turned out WAY too big.

DARN.

BUT
the Pumpkin Spice Bloom works perfectly with this dress!

see that burnt orange-y color in the dress?
yeah... it's the same as the Bloom...
SCORE!

top it off with Claire being in a good mood?
even more fabulouser
(and yes, I know that's not a real word ... or is it?)
 and see this headband?

this is a new headband that will be sold exclusively in the Outlet Shop
(which will be opening up again soon!)

and that's something we can all smile about - right?!

Adopted? Adopting? Know someone who is?

In case you didn't know, back in October I traveled to South Korea where I met my son for the first time.

He's now been home for just over 4 months and he is doing beautifully. It's amazing to see how he fits in with our family and I honestly can't imagine life without him now. I feel like we're making great strides with our attachment (on both ends) and I'm just enjoying living our lives together.

When I went to Korea, a girlfriend I had met through an Adoption Forum that I'm a part of, joined me as my travel partner. She had been to Korea before, as she and her husband brought their son home in the beginning of 2010. Well, in a few months they will be going BACK to Korea - yet again - to bring home another son. I am SUPER excited for her.

As part of their fundraising efforts, they are selling THE COOLEST adoption T-shirts EVER. They come in many sizes (from child to adult) and some super cute colors.

If you'd like to own one of these yourself,
or gift it to a friend,

What Goes with Green?

since I have all these new green prints,
I figured that I better show how you can wear them
on days other than St. Patrick's.

so here we go.

BLOOM:
Avocado Large Dot
DRESS:
Carter's

I got this dress on clearance a while back and was drawn to the colors.
So the two-toned Bloom works perfectly with the two-toned flowers.

...  but I actually prefer the Horizon Blue Bloom more ...

BLOOM:
Avocado Mini Dot
TANK TOP:
Gap

Again, the multi-colored leaves in the shirt
works really well with the Avocado Mini Dot Bloom
I think normally, most would automatically reach for something pink.
So the green is a fun little switch-up.

BLOOM:
Limeade Dot
SHIRT:
Old Navy

See that little bit of green on the shirt?
BOO-YAH!
(oh - and Old Navy - I don't love how you printed the label
on BOTH SIDES of the shirt... but maybe that's why I got it so cheap)

BLOOM:
Citron Rings
SHIRT:
Carter's

Again - one of those shirts that you would reach for something pink.
But there's just something about citron that makes it POP!

BLOOM:
Celery Mini Dot
SHIRT:
Matilda Jane

What works here is how subtle the colors are.
For me - that's perfection.

BLOOM:
Grass
DRESS:
Old Navy

One reason I like the Grass Bloom with this dress is that it shows up
nicely on Claire's dark hair. If I'm going to accessorize, I try and
pick a color that is not 'dominate' (well, I'm sure I do sometimes, but usually
I go for something less 'noticeable') and if my child had blonde hair
I would have immediately gone for the brown. But my child does not have blonde hair,
so we will go with the green. I'm not sure if you can see it, but the blue color
also has a darker shade of blue that outlines some of the prints.
I'd go with that color too.
(if I had it on hand... which I don't... but maybe I should)

have any photos of how YOU like to wear our Blooms?

it's that time again ...

... time for another Holiday!

So St. Patrick's Day isn't as huge as say ... Christmas ...
but it's still fun to dress up for it, right?
(or if you're like me you're still afraid that you're going to get pinched)

Last night I started thinking about what I wanted to do
and of course what fabric I wanted to buy.

And I basically just came up with the conclusion
that anything green would work just fine.

So off to the fabric store I went and picked up a few goodies.

after I made one, I got my little model ready to take some photos.

can you tell how excited she is?

(anyone else notice the slight snarl she has going on?)

Here's a close up of one of the Blooms that will be available

 {the progression}
she did smile at one point.

but of course we just HAD to take a picture of her band aid before continuing

... aaaaaaaaaaand we almost fell off the counter ...

apparently she's in the zone

so this is as good as it's going to get.

But at least you get an idea of what's to come, right?

I'll have all the purchasing information available on Monday
(and you'll LOVE the prices - I promise!)

oh ... and I think it's time to re-open the Outlet again ...

how does that sound?

Did You Enter?

As I posted on FB yesterday,
I discovered that one of my favorite Etsy Shops was having a Give-A-Way.

wanna see the cute little number that's up for grabs?

(and it's the dress, not the super adorable girl)

But before you read any further,
go enter the FREE Give-A-Way
(it ends TONIGHT - 2/17 - at midnight MST)

(be sure to leave a comment under the photo - then share it!)

I 'found' the Bitsy Bear Etsy Shop back in the fall
when I was perusing through Etsy looking for cute dresses for Claire.
When I came across this shop I nearly freaked out.

The designs were SOOOO super cute.

and totally original

So I totally wanted in on the action.

here is Miss Claire sportin' her Halloween dress.

and here's her Christmas dress

I want to mention that these dresses are SUPER well made.
They are finished beautifully and look like they
could easily be found in any high end boutique or department store.

Oh - and I must mention, I did pick up one more goodie:

and I can't WAIT for it to arrive!

So that's how I came across the Give-A-Way.
I'm not receiving any kind of compensation for this review.
I really just love this Shop so much.
(and the owner was  super great to work with!)

so go enter - you just leave a comment!
and 'like' her page as well - it's the nice thing to do.

and if you win. I'm going to be SUPER jealous.

Meet My Little Lesiw

So I thought it was about time that I introduced you all to the inspiration behind Little Lesiw Accessories.

This is my daughter Claire:
Who obviously was NOT in the mood to have her picture taken today. But I've been wanting to do some posts that are just about accessorizing your outfits, so that was the plan for today.

So I decided to go with the Smooch Bloom first. My favorite thing about this Bloom is that the fabric print is actually a two-toned Hot Pink print. To me, this can be used as a 'neutral'. As long as the hot pink color that you're wearing is 'relatively close' to the shade in the Bloom you're good. Simple as that.

This Bloom is also attached to our 'hard' Interchangeable Headbands (I know, I so need to come up with a better name for it).  I know the color is looking all wonky in these pictures, but it was super overcast today so the lighting was super bad in my house. But at least you get an idea of how it looks.

T-Shirt:
Target

Bubble Skirt:
Target

I love the little pops of color on the skirt - I think it makes it super fun. Normally I would have shoes as well, but since it was already a struggle to get these few shots, I figured I should quit while I was ahead.

I'll be posting more of these little ditties as I think it's fun to give ideas of how to match your Blooms! Do you have a photo of an outfit you love? Send it to us at blog@littlelesiw.com and maybe you'll see it here!
